Price Canon 7D drops 400+ euros in 5 weeks – feeling just a tad ripped-off

Call me ignorant, call me an early adopter, call me stupid, but losing over 400 euros in just 5 weeks on a camera that is NOT functioning properly since day one – yep – that hurts! The 7D now is 1.288 euros only, at http://www.foca.nl that’s a devaluation of roughly 80 euros per week – or 105 dollars.

Canon must have dropped their prices, since i see a number of Dutch webshops and traditional shops that have lowered the price of the 7D and the 5D last week.

The 5D now sells for 1.848 euros only. If that would have been the situation 5 weeks ago I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT A 5D FOR THAT PRICE!!!!! But i was bound to a budget….

But, hey, what can i do… I didn’t have much money to spent. The 7D was bought out of the budget of a non-profit movie.

The 7D is NOT a bad camera, specially now it’s only 1288 euros – VERY good value for money. Let’s just forget that i’ve paid 411 euros more last month…
I think it’s really incredible – a full HD video camera with a perfect movie-look for just a bit over 1000 euros. WOW!

But, Canon, next time please lower prices BEFORE i buy  a new camera…

“But, Canon, next time please lower prices AFTER i’ve bought a new camera…” I would rather they lowered the prices BEFORE I bought a new camera.
